Unit lifecycle

Every state a unit can be in, and every move between them.

A unit goes through more states than a deal does. Compass models them all and enforces the transitions. You cannot quote a sold unit. You cannot block a unit that is already reserved by a different rep. The model holds, so the reports hold.

Pricing history

Every price the unit has ever carried, in one line of sight.

Real-estate pricing moves. Festival offers, launch pricing, inventory-clear discounts, broker-only quotes. Compass stores every version with its effective dates, its approver, and the quote that locked it in.

When a buyer comes back six months later and asks why the price has changed, the answer is on the unit, not on an approval email chain.

Allocations & holds

Reserve a unit for a meeting. Release it if the meeting fades.

Holds are first-class. A rep can put a unit on hold for two hours while a buyer travels to the site. If the buyer no shows, the hold releases on its own. If the buyer commits, the hold converts to a reservation, which converts to a booking, which converts to a sale, with no copy-paste between systems.

Holds are visible to the team. No more two reps quoting the same unit to two buyers fifteen minutes apart.

Reps quote within their authority. Anything outside it triggers an approval, with the right person notified, the audit captured, and the buyer not waiting on a WhatsApp forward.

Anything past the band notifies the right approver. The buyer never sees the queue.
